Program Details
Oregon Educators! Are you looking to expand your knowledge of underwater robots and gain hands on experience that will help you teach your students about Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV)? Come learn from veteran teachers and volunteers of the MATE Oregon Regional ROV Competition!
Audience and Benefits
This workshop is offered to formal and informal educators who teach in Oregon and who work with students in grades 5 and up.
Educator Benefits
- Participants gain hands on experience building and testing ROVs and learn more about the 2026 MATE Oregon Regional ROV Compeition.
- Educators from the Oregon Coast will learn how to access supplies from the Oregon Coast STEM Hub Lending Libraries.
- Upon completion of the workshop, each participant will receive a MATE ROV Pufferfish Kit and a $150 stipend.

South Coast: January 10th, Coos County
North Coast: March 7th, Clatsop County
Stipend Information
Stipends of up to $150 are available to educators upon completion of the workshop.
