Girls on IceGirls on Ice - link
Inspiring Girls Expeditions offers free summer science and wilderness expeditions in Alaska and Washington for girls ages 16 to 17. Three teams of up to nine teenage girls and three instructors will spend 12 days exploring and learning about mountain glaciers or fjords with tidewater glaciers. They’ll conduct scientific field studies with professional glaciologists, oceanographers, artists and mountaineers. Apply by January 31, 2017.

National Youth Science Camp - link
Do you know a 12th grader who has aptitude and interest in STEM, is well-rounded and has leadership potential? Then send them to to be considered for the experience of a lifetime. The prestigious National Youth Science Camp hosts up to two students from each US state and from eight other countries for a month of STEM lectures and hands on activities, Outdoor Adventures and some time in our Nation's Capitol, plus a few surprises. . . This almost month-long experience is FREE (including travel) to those selected to attend. Apply by March 1, 2017.

  • Maker Camp - Free online summer camp from Google and Make for building, tinkering and exploring, online and in your neighborhood - Ages 13-18
  • NASA Girls & Boys - Students in Grades 5-8 are matched with NASA mentors and engage in learning activities with them online for 1 hour each week for 5 weeks. Applications selected by lottery.
